Background : Born and raised in the scenic Uva Province of Sri Lanka, I continued my academic journey at Ananda College, Colombo, in 1990. It was at Ananda College where I developed my confidence and learned the art of collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds, largely through my passion for basketball and the camaraderie of college hostel life. Choosing the University of Peradeniya for my engineering studies was a decision influenced by its captivating beauty and vibrant campus culture, nestled at the foot of the enchanting Hanthana mountain range. Despite the allure of the prestigious University of Moratuwa, I was drawn to Peradeniya's charm.

In 2001, I was awarded a Japanese government scholarship, which led me to Tokyo, Japan, where I immersed myself in the language and culture. I pursued Computer Science and System Engineering, earning my Master's degree in 2009. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working at esteemed company Softbank Mobile.

In 2015, I decided to return to Sri Lanka for the well-being of my family and to serve my motherland. However, in 2019, I found myself drawn to MinamiUonuma, Niigata, by the call of the mountains. I am currently engaged in a project aimed at addressing the Akiya Problem in Japan and promoting tourism to the region by offering unique accommodation and experiences.
